A Country Full Of Birds… (by Jason)

Bush, scrub and open forest (often mixed with agricultural land)

Throughout Guatemala there was plenty of edge habitats. One lesson of Permaculture is to utilise the boundaries between environments. Nature does this already as fast growing shrubs and vines take over abandoned spaces and provide unique habitats on the edge. This provides plenty of resources for local bird life to thrive, whether that’s on the edge of cities, farms of forest.
